Have your dad watch this video, if you can get him to do it. It literally makes me cry, and after I saw this. Also you should mention to him about the flood of antibiotics and who knows what else goes into their chicken feed. Good luck with this. It would make me mad too. It doesn't take too much to influence kids and i wouldn't want my kids subject to that.

My brother hunts and fishes - and has no problems eating the meat and fish, but I can't ever send any eggs home with him! But he knows they're in the food I prepare and he eats - go figure!

BUT - he did build my coop for me several years ago, so I am eternally grateful for that. And he has no problems handling the birds when he's over here.

I just figure we all have our little quirks - I'm sure I do something that annoys him, too (although I can't imagine for the life of me what that could possibly be!!). I think they call it unconditional love.

My dad is the same, Mr. Farmboy himself from Stephenville, TX won't eat my eggs because I have roosters! I asked him if his parents bought eggs, no, they gathered them. Did they buy chicks? No they hatched their own. Well where the heck do you think those chicks came from????

My moms the same way.. she says she just cant eat my eggs...
Whatever.. her loss.

But i have heard that sometimes when people switch to fresh eggs, sometimes their stomachs can take a bit to get used to them...
SO maybe they do bother his stomach?? I dont know...

I have hens that lay fertilized as well as a flock that has no rooster. My SILs will not eat any of them for some stupid reason. Of course she knows for sure that fertilized eggs have blood in them. I've never seen it though.
