I'm 22 and for the first time I've felt old! You guys will laugh, but I'm one of the "old kids" now at college. Of course as soon as I graduate and move on to graduate school, I'm sure I'll feel like a baby again!

I was 34 when my oldest grandson was born. My mom was 50.
My youngest sister had her first and only child 4 1/2 years ago. I have a problem with calling myself grandma to her. Thank goodness she laughs and corrects me. Silly auntie!
So far the grandkids are either very young or too busy with getting into college, so my GGrandma years are later than my mom's. Doesn't mean the time won't come sooner than later though.

The first time I felt old I was 26 and riding up the elevator to work. An 18 year old mailroom employee got into the elevator with a 7 inch purple feather hanging off is pierced eyebrow and all I could think was - If that were my kid I'd rip that off his face.

I spend the rest of the day depressed knowing that that is exactly what my grandmother would have said.

I used to do that with my husband once he turned 55. OH GEEZ! That's not far off.

The first time he knew he could qualify he was excited to get 30% off at a store. Then in the car he thought about it and got depressed. Took a 2 hour ride on his bike and came back saying "yeah, I'm a big bad biker. Old man? phhfff"
