I am pretty sure my hen has worms, natural treatment?

I picked up my first wormwood plant for ornamental reasons and because it also repels garden pests. Now I have wormwood sprouting up in the lawn, around the outbuildings, in the field...o love it. It's a perennial, I am in zone 5.
I dry it and i use it to restuff my dog beds, chop and put in my nest boxes with straw and hang to dry in the coop to repel flys.
It has a pleasant eucalyptus scent.
Do my chickens eat it? I have noticed them pecking at it...and never noticed worms. My chickens are healthy.
Read the article I have attached this stuff is amazing!

There is no such thing as a natural dewormer.

Can you collect some fresh poop and bring it to your vet on Monday?
I agree, I use safe-guard (fenbendazole). I don't have a lot of issues with worms. You can get it in a paste and give you bird a pea size orally. Good luck. No egg withdrawal period is required when used according to the label.

Tried it, it does not work. Neither does DE, raw pumpkin seeds, or ACV. A chemical dewormer such as Safeguard is what you need.
I agree with this too as I mentioned above in a post. I have tried many things. Years ago I used wazine but there was a two week egg withdrawal period. It is no longer available and if you do find any it's very, very expensive. Good luck...

@Weeg Forget the natural stuff. Stick with chemicals that are proven to work, unlike natural products. Correct dosing is available unlike natural products. Chemical withdrawal periods are available unlike natural products.
Albendazole (Valbazen), Fenbendazole (Safeguard), Pyrantel Pamoate, Levamisole, Equimax and Zimecterin Gold are my go to wormers.

However your chicken sounds really sicj right now. I too believe a vet should be consulted.
By the way what you are describing also sounds like it could be eggbound.
She has;t played eggs in years. I am sure that she has had a worm infestation for a while, since it has been wet, I haven't been sending as much time out there checking them out as usual. Since she is really old, and has had them for a while, I am assuming that a commercial wormer is a good idea, after reading some articles, because she is at risk. Any commercial wormer suggestions? Thanks guys!

Ps. I wish a vet was an option, but I don't think it is.

Thanks this is very helpful. I will look into a commercial wormer for her since she is at high risk, because of having them for a long period of time, and her age. Thanks again! I will get you know how it goes!

If your birds hasn't laid eggs in YEARS worms is not the only problem.

Let her finish living her life out in peace.

I was looking at my local TSC for wormer, and I found this- https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-strike-iii-natural-63298?cm_vc=-10005
Anybody suggest this?
Otherwise, there were a lot of Safeguard wormers, but only for horses, cattle and goats. Would that work in a small dose? I think we actually have an extra tube of Safeguard for our horses I can use, so would that work in a small dose? Thanks for any info!
Safe-guard... Makes zero difference what animal is on the label.
Get either one.
