Last April 1 the Mods played a trick on us all and certain words we typed in posts, like "egg" for instance, would come out something different, but dang it! I can't remember what they'd change things to. Anyway...they also messed with a lot of people's tag lines - and this was before GFM - so some of us became Mods for the day, and our post counts were all wacky. They had a grand old time at our expense, and you gotta love 'em for it. (But DON'T DO IT AGAIN!)

I do remember last year............what a hoot! One heck of an April Fool's jokes and all the mods were on it as well, playing all innocent!

April Fools is a day for the peeps in charge to have a bit of fun at our expense. Last year there was a filter that changed commonly used words to other, less common words. It was a nice test of everyone's vocabulary to force us to use words other than "egg" or "hen"

Me too! I was just about to ask about it when I saw this thread. I refreshed my page and it didn't go away, and since you guys are seeing it too, it must be something wrong with BYC itself, not my computer only. But I'm sure Nifty and/or the others are working on it!


That would be cool if they were adding new smileys!
