My husband started putting the hardware cloth up on my new carport run! And he is doing it exactly like I asked him too!! It is looking good so far. I can't wait to see it all done. Then he will move onto the new coop! I have waited so long for this day that I cannot believe it is finally here!
Attaching the 1/2" hardware cloth with washers and screws. He even bought a new drill just to do this job.
He is attaching the hardware cloth to the bottom leg of the carport and then extending it out about 18" so nothing can dig down.
Once he gets this all done he will then be putting up 1/2" by 1" 14 gage welded wire fencing on the bottom 4 ft of the run and we will also be laying some of the welded wire on top of the hardware cloth. We will then top that with gravel and probably some potted plants. Hope this will be secure enough!
