In addition to all the chicks that I just brought home, I brought home a pigeon today that my sister found outside of her workplace.

I really expected my husband to be mad, but he actually opened the cage and tried to pet it. I plan to find another home for the pigeon, but it was tame and about to be carried off by animal control, so I had to bring it home. I think I know someone who will take it... Anyway, my point is that I know how you feel. I have brought home 2 dogs, several cats, chickens, etc. and my husband just rolls his eyes at me now. I'm waiting for him to say he's had enough and I have to choose him or the critters. (I hope he has somewhere to go when I choose my critters.

After all was said and done, though, my husband likes the white pigeon. He actually went out and built a perch for it in the place where it keeps trying to go to sleep. I have also caught him petting it a couple of times. I think the little guy may be here to stay.
