I’m so sorry you lost the chick. I know how you are feeling.

BUT, I must fess up, if I was at the door with pizza and a beer naked my DH would turn and walk away laughing. I'm not to good looking naked.

Off to the feed store to get hopefully 2 more chicks. I'll post pics if they have any left. Yep, what is two more and now since I know I don't have to meet him at the door naked with food, lol all is good

I'm so sorry for your loss, but these things happen with baby chicks. I'm glad you are being sensible though and going to get replacements.

The two new babies

Phoebe (probably an EE?)

and Ginger (she is feather footed and probably a cochin?)

Ginger is a bit weak and sleepy so I have her on sugar water, yogurt, mash and polyvisol. I'm such a sucker for the ones who need extra help

I'm glad I went when they opened this morning because their banties sure went fast. I think I might have got the last two pullets. Fingers crossed!

The rest of her is kind of yellow/white with black stripes? She is a feisty one so I couldn't really get a good photo.

I am thinking Ginger may be blind. She cannot seem to find the food and water bowls on her own and hops around erratically. Not really sure what to do to other than hand feed and water her, teach her where everything is and hope for the best.
