Well, not the first. But it will be fun to see a SQ Silkie crossed with a Bared Rock! My Barred Rock went broody. Who wants to see Barred rock Silkie crosses?

I have a 5 week old cross from a Black silkie roo to a Rhode Island Red hen, she is pretty.

and duke he is a blue cochin (mom) barred rock (dad) X

Don't mean to crash the party but I doubt you're the first

They'll be medium in size, depending who's dad and who's mom they'll all be barred or only the males will be barred, the rest will be mostly black with either white or gold markings/leakage. They'll have semi-dark skin, five toes, and a small crest, but no Silkied feathering. Just normal feathers.

I am hoping she is female. She does have some silkie feathers. I want to breed her back to a silkie roo and try to keep the pretty orangy color. Any one know a good color to breed her back to?
