I don't have to use the SSS rule any longer. The state gave me an open depredation tag. They got tried of sending the trapper out to take care of a problem I can handle. Even if they didn't give me the permit, a bear within 50 feet of my fence is sent to bear heaven.
For those that don't want to believe a bear will come into a house and are shy little critters, tell that to the 2 bears I shot coming into my house. One was coming in the bedroom window about midnight, the other came in the front door mid afternoon.
I do have I back hoe and will use it. I could use it to trap the bear, only to have the state trapper come out and shoot the bear. Then I would have to bury the bear anyway. Save everyone some time by shooting it and buriying it without telling anyone.
Besides, the only hole trap I have made in a long time was to trap a human. Should have just covered that hole up with him in it too.
I have live in the mountians for many years and never had a big problem with bear or any of God's critters until the city retirees started moving in. They think they are cute until thier house is tore up. Then they call me to clean up thier mess.
The only way to control todays bear problem is to have a bear hunting season.
This is why the Indians were the best at caring for the land. Looking at what we did to the buffalo and most other critters.
Some of these same people are at our prisons each time a murderer or rapist is about to meet his maker. Then they are the first to scream killem, when they are raped or a family member is killed.
Until a person has met a bear face to face and seen it's power, they will defend the bear. They are beauitful in the wild when running free. They are an ugly critter when coming at you. You can't outrun them or hid from them.
They can get in a car faster without a key than you can with the key. The doors on your house is like a tooth pick to them.
People have a right to fear them. For once they have eaten human food they will be back time and agian.
Shoot the darn thing if you can, what ever you do NO NOT WOUND it, KILL IT. As for those that want to shoot it with a paint ball gun, you may get away with it a few times, but what are you going to do when it turns on you.
