I know the people at our TSC and they are told not to sex chicks. A buddy that works there has alot of experience and he can tell the difference but it is against policy to tell customers what is what. They just sell straight run. TSC orders the chicks from local established hatcheries. Ours in central Indiana orders chicks from Mount Healthy near Cinci. You can either order from the hatchery and pick-up your chicks at the post office or TSC will get them from the post office and then give you a call. I just got 10 buffs and 5 Plymoth Rocks and they are all doing great! By placing an order you can get the pullet/roo mix that you want. If you buy out of the straight run batch then you will get what you get.

I got what they said was the min number of chicks... 8.

BUT...

all 8 turned out to be male... and supposidly THAT is straight run... ahhh *hmmm*

I dont get it. SO unless you want to deal with a LOT of boys... well its up to you then.
