I BOUGHT a newer vehicle...

Very wise choice. Honda's kick butt, no matter what model. Mine has 283,000 on it, burns no oil, replaced bulbs in the headlights . . .and that is it. I broke the trunk and DH was able to fix that (whew!) but DS "sprung" my driver's door and I have to "redneck" tie it with the passenger door with rubber tie downs, but its the sweetest car I have ever had. I love it. People laugh at me over my Honda. I cried like a baby when the door got hurt, and we have been looking for a replacement door, but can't find one cheap enough. I tell people I am running on a prayer and a promise and don't want to fork out $800 for a door.

Congrats on the new vehicle! My first car was a Honda civic and it ran well.Dh came home one day and said he traded it for a Ford truck.Years later the truck was traded for the Toyota I have now. I may trade that Toyota for a Honda-full circle.

Enjoy your ride!

Thanks everyone... and I don't even dare to suggest I would go get feed in it. DW would not be happy.
I'll continue to use her Excursion for that.

Went shopping Thursday. I already had two boxes worth of things in the back of my car. Relocated those to the front seat. Then proceeded to put my day's purchases into the car:

Cart almost identical to this one:

40 pounds dog food
Big bag of cat food (20 pounds? 25?)
Three 40 pound bags of Pine Bedding
50 pounds of game bird feed
10 pounds of starter feed
Bag of oyster shell
New space heater
furnace filters
Several small bags of items purchased
Roll of fencing
Bucket of Cat Litter
4 bags of groceries

Still had room...

All this in a subcompact that gets 40+ miles to the gallon for CITY driving. I'll stick with my little Honda Fit. (Ahem. If I get a second vehicle someday, I'd like a Land Rover but will probably have to settle for a Jeep. )

I had to laugh today... Everyone had to accompany my son to the store when he took the newer vehicle so that while he went in to shop, they could watch the DVD in the back.

I hope the novelty runs it's course soon or I'll have to take it in to have it detailed again!

Just bought the audio attachment for my i-Pod.

Heavenly music in my vehicle!

So glad you like it!! I was at my brother's house this past weekend and got to ride in his new Pilot. It was heaven!! I love the feature on the rear view mirror that shows what's behind the car.

It's not overly fancy inside....just right. It was one of the quietest rides I've been in. Keep us posted on the things you like the most. After my DD is married next year (I've got a wedding to pay for) I may just do the same thing!
