I BOUGHT a newer vehicle...

Leather seats are nice, you do know they can come cooled now a days too. Think some models even have the AC piped to them.

The salesman called today and said they'd give me another 6Gs for my Beemer. I laughed at them yesterday.

I told him to e-mail me a quote/offer.

I've taken great care of my car, Kelly Blue books says at the VERY Least for a "Fair" car traded into a dealer I should get at least 10.5G out of it. It's better than that, but we'll see.

I'm getting the windshield replaced tomorrow due to the hail damage we had and then I have an appointment to change my oil and fill fluids on Monday.

... and then I'll go shopping at the Toyota dealer and test drive a Prius or two.

But I'll be honest, I REALLY liked that Pilot we test drove.

Yep..LOVE my Toyota Corolla. We even got a trailer hitch put on it and it's rated for 2000 lbs. SO...Home Depot, feed store, NO problem!

But, if you need more room, I recommend the Toyota Camry. I LOVE Toyota! (and while it is a Japanese owned company, it is made in the US).

I would NOT recommend the Prius. This is the car dh bought me last fall. I have gouges in the paint down to the metal. My moms 99 corolla looks better than my 2010 prius. The braking stinks. You can't see the dash during the day when the lights are on.And the way that the trunk is shaped makes looking out the rear window very poor.I would sell the car if we would not loose so much on it.Heck, I may still sell it.I am in the process of taking it to paint dealers to get it looked at and filing a complaint with Toyota.

Have a freind in CO that bought a pilot and so far no issues. If I did not drive the kids so much each day I think I would want a truck.I miss the Ford truck dh had.

Whatever you get I hope you love it!

Thanks Mattemma for the info.

The fellow came to put the windshield in today and he says because it is infared and has rain sensors that he'll have to special order it.
So he won't be back till Monday. I hope the folks that change the oil are able to get it done early so I can get my vehicle back to the office so he can replace the windshield.

I've about decided that i'm going to Craig's list my vehicle and see if I can't get more that way.

Then I can just go shopping with a set amount of $$.

Yeah, selling it on your own is going to get you much more than a trade in. For my dad's 68 chevy, trade in vs private party was a $0 vs $800.

As for prius, my friends mom really wanted one, but, at 6 feet tall with longer than average legs, she could not get the divers seat back far enough to sit comfortably.

Yeah, I'm 6'2" and BIG.. that wouldn't work.

I really want the Pilot but my wife doesn't want to spend that much....

Well we couldn't talk Showcase Honda into selling the 2011 Pilot for the price we were willing to pay...

So Friday we'll go to North Scottsdale and East Mesa. There are some 2009s and 2010s that are better priced but they also have more miles on them.

I've loved my Beemer but I need something that I don't want to worry about any longer.

I so appreciate all of the suggestions and as we have studied vehicles, I don't feel we'll go wrong with a Pilot.

We also test drove a 2010 Acura, but I would feel the same about it as I did my BMW.

The Pilots that we have test driven have to be the most comfortable cars I have ever driven.. .I know why they are so expensive. I hadn't even thought about them until they were suggested here on BYC... so THANKS!

I've got to go back and see who mentioned it first!
