I BOUGHT a newer vehicle...

Love my Chevy Traverse. We used to have an old Suburban and as much as I loved it, it needed too much work. The new Traverse sold me though. So many comfortable features. The kids and DH love it too!

F150 here, holds as many bags of feed and cages you could possibly ever want.

Tons of cab room and holds 5 people very comfortably.

I'm at 160,000 miles and still going strong...

They think it's pretty funny at Home Depot when I pack lumber into my Honda Fit, too.

The people at the feed store look at me strangely when loading my purchases into the car, though. I guess they don't have too many people buying gamebird food and hauling it away in one of these...

Okay, I will clarify that.....American made by American owned companies. I can't help it, it is ingrained in me....my parents both worked for General Motors. So it was drilled into me from a small child "buy American and American's work"!

Looking back on our recent purchase there are some things I would look for:

Safety complaints at the NTSB

Complaints about the paint job.Our new car has a crappy paint job.In my 20+ years of owning a car I never had so many chips down to the metal within the first year.

Old fashion braking system.I hate this computer combo breaks!

I want a real car with normal brakes, crank down windows,a real paint job(not a spray over),and good MPG would be nice.

Can I have that?

I have a 99 burb 1500. I LOVE the room and I regularly haul 8 people in it + 6 bags of feed and a ton of grocerys. Only problem... No matter what I do she only gets about 11mpgs...sigh... And it has no power...bigger sigh...
DH drives a duramax... Now there's some power...smile...

Went out and did a test drive. 2011 Honda Pilot.

NICE.

Still looking.

We have an old beat up Chevy Blazer. Hard on the eyes but it's roomy and never lets us down.

Our other vehicle is a Honda Accord, not very roomy but very hard to kill.

We also looked at a 2008 Accord. Nice car, many bells and whistles.... I've grown accustomed to leather seats.... stupid in this heat I know.
