I BOUGHT a newer vehicle...

When my Mom passed away, I got her 2003 Chevy Impala...I love it. It is nice and roomy and has a big trunk. My three kids can sit in the back comfortably. Also every time I drive I think of my Mom, and that's a good thing even though I miss her very much.

I used to drive a minivan...and I miss that alot but my transmission went and it was an older van so not worth fixing. I would definitely get one again, it was very comfortable fore the whole family.

My DH drives a 2009 Impala, and he loves it too!

I don't know anything about the ones you are interested in, because I always buy American.

I thought that both Hondas and Hyundai's were made here in the good ol' USA?

It's kinda funny to read these posts of small car owners. I have a Corolla and I can fit 6 50# bags of feed in the trunk and 3 bales of hay in the back seat and one in the front. Who needs a truck!!!!!!

You have me beat! I can only get 3-50lb bags of feed in the trunk or one bag of shavings with one bag of feed. Figure with so little space, might as well bypass factory sub and throw in an after market one in the trunk. Go 9 cubic feet of oblong storage space! Believe it or not, I can get a 32 gallon tote in the back seat! (It doesn't fit in the trunk).

It's not how much it can hold but how fast you can get it there, the 2011 SS is speed limited at 155. I hate that. I bet there is another 30 MPH by the tach and the gas peddle

Steve

Um, I get the feeling you really, really LOVE your car.

I'll stick with my suburban. I liken my 8 passengers an 1500 pound payload an I can also camp in it.

We had a Suburban for a while and MAN do I miss that vehicle!!!! I could pack to weeks worth of feed and hay into that thing AND two goats. I want another one!!!

We've got a Suburban, Silverado and Malibu. Love the Suburban, but since you already have a the Excursion, have you considered a Malibu. Very comfy, lots of room, nice pep and I think it has a nice look to it. I bought mine in 2008 and it was a 2004 with less than 50k miles on it. Got it for $11k. I average about 32 mpg. I've put 50k plus miles on it already and haven't had any problems, other than replacing the battery, brake pads and tires. The remote start is really nice for the summer months to get the A/C going and winter months, to get the heater going. Some of the commuter cars we looked at were too small for me to feel comfortable driving next to all the semis on IH 35. The Malibu has airbags all over it.

I've managed to fit 7 bags of shavings, a bag of feed and still had room.
