i bought a nnew chicken today and im not sure what it is.

The man i bought it from called it a game chicken but it is completely black. Its small so im guessing its a bantam, i cant post a pic its raining here in nc. Any ideas?

PIctures would sure help, but I understand about the rain, it is really messy here from rain and snow melting.
It very well could be a game chicken though they come in pure black color.

oh ok thanks, yeah shes a very sweet hen the other chickens are not taking to her to well but im working on it. The purpose i bought her was to be a broody hen and to sit on the eggs, the man i purchased her from said that she was a very good breed for that purpose.

Yep, that sounds like a game to me. They sure can go broody on you. We (my brother, my dad and I) have gotten some game and game crosses for that purpose.

it could be an Old English Game Bantam (OEGB) or a modern game they have really long legs and a long neck.

well good, im glad i didnt get ahold of a mix match bird. whats a good price to pay for a full grown pullet of this breed?
