Skowhegan is about 2 hours from me. I would definitely go though. But, it would be nice to find something this way as well, that way are NH friends could join in.

Depending upon how far west you want to go, you might consider Metcalf's (Blue Seal) in Cornish. It is right on Rt 25.

There's also the Ossipee Valley Fair July 9-12 in South Hiram, Maine. There would be shaded areas in the fair grounds. This is not one of Maine's bigger fairs.

Skowhegan may also work great for the folks that would be coming from the northern part of the State too, would work great for us, not too far.. The bummer to that day for us is it's a Saturday, if I had enough advance notice I can get a day off..

Just a thought why not try a few areas, would be great to get more of these going in Maine. Maybe also include more education as well. Most people have no idea what great little friends these little guys can be, I know I was one of those people, when we were younger our family raised them for eggs and meat and we were told not to get attached... But they can make great little pets. Loved what spook did with scooter in Oxford, the kids loved him.
