Excellent! - You really know what you're in for.
One thing i had added to my checklist was »handle the ducklings frequently« so that they get used to be handled by humans.
Not that it really makes a big difference with my ducks now, instead of »Axe Murderer!« they yell »Murder! Murder!« if i catch one. But maybe you have more luck, you have chosen larger and more calmer ducks than mine.

Right. I am definitely going to be coddling them on a regular basis, but i want to give them time to get comfortable and relax for the first 3 days, especially because this is when they are most stressed and fragile... But after that...... *me hugging my ducklings....* lol

In my experience my hand-raised (Muscovy) duck who used to love to be held and cuddled now isn't that cuddly anymore. Oh, she's friendly, and a complete hog for food, but she doesn't like to be touched anymore. My drake who I got when he was already a few weeks old (and not hand-raised) actually turned out to be the more cuddlier one and doesn't care if I pet him.

Hope you can have some nice bonds with your own! And that they don't turn out to be Aspens. (my own duck I previously mentioned who turned out not-so-cuddly)

I'm sure most of you don't remember me, but last year I got super excited and happy thinking I was going to get ducks, but my parents said I couldn't. This year, I had nearly forgotten about ducks altogether, but when I brought it up, they said I could get them!!! (They also got me an ice cream cake) I'm just so excited and I had to share!!! I will be getting Cayuga and Pekin (2-3 of each breed not completely sure on how many I am getting yet..) and they will all be female. YAAAAAAY!!!!!!!! Oh and I was hoping to get magpie because of their prolific egg production, but no one carries them I'll need all the help I can get once I'm a duck dad, so brace yourselves!! BTW does anyone know how many eggs per year Cayuga and Pekin lay? Thanks so much!!!!

Ha, I'm the same way. Sometimes my drake is walking away, like, go away! But i stop him anyways.

I have pekins I got as adults, they will let me pat their fronts in exchange for peas. I say "pats for peas" and they begrudgingly let me touch them!
