I can identify your chickens sex and breed 80% of the time

That's why I'm confused with her cause there is absolutely no muff or beard (I have a strangely small olive egger and see what the beard should be). She is exactly 4 months old tomorrow. I got her from a hatchery and fingers crossed for some blue eggs in the future!

She looks almost identical to one of mine (she's about 3 months) and I know mine is an EE since she was born here. No idea why she doesn't have the muff since all the others do. Weird!!

Can someone please tell me the breed and gender of these, I was told that the first and last picture are blue copper marans, male. And the second picture is blue copper marans, females and that they all are 5 weeks old but that don't seem right to me

Five weeks seems about right. First is definitely a cockerel. But if you were hoping to keep them as breeding stock, they are pretty poor quality. Fine if you just wanted to add some dark eggs to your basket, but lousy for show/breeding.

Splash Copper Marans cockerel, but not correctly marked. Too much copper.

I was wanting them for the eggs but what makes you say they are poor quality? They don't look any different than any other blue copper marans I've been able to find online.

Can you tell my what breed these are?

The copper should be limited to the neck and shoulder at their age. Copper through the chest on males, at any age, is a big fault. Sparse to no feathering on the legs of the pullets is also a fault.

Hi. A couple of months ago I bought these buff Orpingtons at a sale. On their cage it said that they are all female (none are laying yet) but for one of them, I'm not so sure. I don't really know anything about sexing chickens so can someone please help me identify the sex of the one at the top. They're still growing so I'm not sure if she's just older or is maturing faster than the rest but she does have a huge crown and wattles so I'm a bit confused. I already have a Black Orpington cockerel so I need to know whether or not I can keep it. Thanks.
