I feel like a real DA! I e-filed my state taxes but typed the wrong bank account number in for them to direct deposit my refund into!!!! UGH

I sent a post to my credit union to let them be aware of the mistake but have no clue it will actually help.

Must call the Dept of Revenue in the morning and pray for the best.

Hubby is a CPA...his advice for next year...have them send you a check. If number doesn't exist they contact you. If it does exist and someone else gets your money, you need to contact the Franchise Tax board. Personally, we don't give the irs our bank account info.. Less is better in this instance. Best of luck. This is based on California info. Not familiar with Ga tax issues

As of this AM everything is alright and I have my return, YAY! I am sooooooo relieved.

i kinda did that to my federal return i put the routing and account numbers in right but put the check number on the end of my account number. duh. i was looking at one of my checks when i did it . called my bank they said it will just delay it being direct deposited a day. few.
