Ive gotten about 50/50 pullet vs roo for this buff orpington so far on BYC. Has a small comb compared to my other cockerel, and it has not showed any typical roo behavior (i have two other cockerels at 4 weeks that flat out brawl) but ya know, buff orpingtons and all. Thanks!

Also, I'm pretty sure this buff one is a roo. He is also 12 weeks old. Is this for sure roo behavior/hackles on the back of the neck being raised? The black one I'm pretty certain is a roo as well.

I don't have any experience with silkies, but I think your guesses may be right. Both sexes will raise their hackles and play-fight with each other.

I know its a bit early but here’s an EE (sold as Ameracauna), about 5 weeks old that I’m wondering about. Ive read quite a few different things about sexing easter eggers, sounds like I just need to look at a lot more.

Bonus silver sebright cockerel with the red/pink comb coming in fast and early.

You sure it's an EE?

No I am not sure actually, definitely not now :)!! What do you guys think it is?? As i mentioned this was labeled as an Ameracauna at the local feed store. Not sure if hatchery or from local stock, word on the street is the owner is a poultry person and raises chicks.
