I have been going back and forth on who is a pullet or a cockerel in my flock. I really think the white one(Slaty) is my cockerel. Other then that I just don't know if the rest are all pullets or not. Keep thinking I have more cockerels then pullets. Let me know your thoughts please. Are you wondering if you have a pullet or a cockerel? Post your pics here!
I can sex them!
Your grey one looks a lot like our Sapphire Gem!Happy Saturday, Friends! I have 3 birds that I would love your opinion on. They are between 5-6 weeks old. They are all "Barnyard Mixes" but it appears my white one is a combo of my brahma rooster and brahma hen (what are the chances?!), the other two came from a neighbor and she thought the darker one was a Barred rock and the grey one is a mystery! Would love your opinion on gender and breeds!View attachment 2169437View attachment 2169448View attachment 2169452View attachment 2169453View attachment 2169454View attachment 2169455

The one with blue legs is a cockerel, not completely sure about the other one yet.View attachment 2169984
Two turkens, I got them between 6 and 7 weeks ago, I think. They were my only straight run from the store I went to
View attachment 2169982 this one is the one closer to the coop in the top picture
The white one is a brahma mix (I don’t think he’s a pure brahma due to his unfeathered legs), the blue one is a wyandotte mix, and the barred one is a barred rock mix.The chick I hatched has a light Brahma for the rooster and could be mixed with a silver laced Wyandotte, buff Orpington, Americana, light Brahma or a black copper maran.
The neighbors chicks are mixed as well. She said they could be barred rock, Wyandotte, maran or Orpington.
I agree with your predictionsso far bummed about it though!
I don’t see any signs that your chick is a cockerel, but she/he is still too young to be certain about genderCan you sex my 7-week buff lace polish -- Frompkin? He has been acting kind of rooish, in the sense of looking after the other chicks, and panicking when they don't obey him to return to the coop. Too youngI have three Buff Orpingtons. Got as day olds from feed store on May 15. They looked to be 3 or 4 days old. So I guess around 3 weeks old now.
Any guesses on sex? 3 pics of each chick.
CockerelI have a bossy 8 week old Speckled Sussex that I'm wondering is a pullet or cockerel.View attachment 2170895View attachment 2170896
All your chicks are most likely pulletsI have been going back and forth on who is a pullet or a cockerel in my flock. I really think the white one(Slaty) is my cockerel. All of them look like pullets so farMight be too early, but any thoughts on my 6 below that are 5 weeks? Any suspicion of cockerel? These are my first ever chickens.
