Hi I was wondering if you can help me with my chicks I am aware they are still too young to sex.... these pictures where taken when they were around 2weeks or less than they are currently 3-4 weeks so I will update you with their recent pictures.... I dont no their breed or sex they maybe brahma mixes
Any advice is better than no advice 😊😊😊😊👍👍👍
They're so cute!! They're too young to sex. They do look like Brahma mixes. The first one (white with heavier leg feathering) might be all-Brahma.

This is Pheobe. She is 13 weeks old tommorow. Bearded buff laced chamois polish. From day one she has had a very large smooth rounded crest, beautifully calm temperament etc. She was one of 6 hatched, 2 of which are very obvious cockerels from early one. Her crest in these photos looks a bit wild as there was a pecking order dispute and she had a fair amount of feathers "removed" by Snowflake (who was very sorry for her behaviour upon reflection) so shes currently regrowing but her crest is super round and smooth usually. Her hackles and saddle feathers are rounded, her tail feathers are growing and evening out in length each day. She has slight red in wattle area which I know can happen with pullets sometimes and her mum had that.
However
She is such a hetic, bossy little thing. She keeps an eye on all the other young chickens, especially her best friend our ayam cemani (also no clue on its gender) and displays some cockerel traits.
No crowing and too young to lay. Very vocal but in a clucky husky voice.
I'm stumped. Layer developing cockerel? Pullet taking on leadership role due to lack of cockerel?
She was 11 weeks in these photos. Her tails evened out and hair grown back a bit but no other changes. You can see her crest is patchy in photos. Sorry for essay! Any ideas? Tia x

Please also any ideas for my ayam cemani? I've put in a photo of the mum and dad below two photos of him/her. Very quiet bird, doesnt enjoy handling, was a feisty youngster but settled by 6 weeks when let outside. Follows the polish chicken everywhere and panics when it's not in sight. Again no crow or eggs yet. Only ever vocal when you catch it. Wattles and comb havent grow in size the past 4 weeks.

What about a silkie? I understand they can be difficult to sex. This one is about 11 weeks old. The white one is the one I am wondering about with the developed comb.

Our two silkies are the same age and have no comb or wattle development and are a lot fluffier so I'm leaning towards yours being a cockerel
