I have been going back and forth on who is a pullet or a cockerel in my flock. I really think the white one(Slaty) is my cockerel. Other then that I just don't know if the rest are all pullets or not. Keep thinking I have more cockerels then pullets. Let me know your thoughts please.

Seems the white on(salty) will wonder away from the flock and makes a weird noise causing all of the other checks to run for shelter. That's why i think Salty is a cockerel. Also 3 of them tend to do a stand off / play fight like they are cockerels.

I always thought my Japanese mottled was a hen but it might be a rooster.

That's a pullet. I have a pullet that wonders off and makes noise that causes the others to run to her. I think she may be the one at the top of the pecking order.

It isn’t uncommon for pullets to play fight. Also, Salty is an Easter egger.

Do you have a close-up picture of its saddle feathers?
