What flavor did they give you? If it was the orange stuff, ask them if they have the fruit punch flavor... and don't forget to drink it ice cold! Best wishes for the next go round.

I have a question for you all. How many of you are going to use reusable diapers? I didn't with my son but am going to with this one. I have read several articles on different reusable diapers. I wanted to see which ones you all thought was best. I have a Mothering magazine and it has lots of different brands and types. I would love all the help I can get with this. I will be a stay at home mother and will be able to wash them everyday if I need too. I would also like to know about how many I need a day.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

oh god no. i am far too lazy for that. what i wish they would bring back though are the cute pink and blue disposable diapers.
the best ones i have used so far are either huggies or pampers.

Sebrightmom, I'm not planning on using cloth (may change my mind though, who knows) but it's funny you asked about this because I saw Dr. Sears ranting about Smartipants reusable diapers on The Doctors the other day. Here is the video of his presentation (notice at Dr. Lisa's expression during it

!) And here are some reviews of them. Best wishes with it!

Fuzzibunz were my favorite, fast to wash and dry (they're pocket diapers) I then started making my own AIO's (all in ones) and didn't buy many more but I loved those Fuzzibunz best out of all the cloth ones I had!

(don't ask why I'm in this thread - it was an accidental click!)

i use cloth w/ my 9 month old son, i like kushies. we used a lot of the gerber pre folds w/ just a vinyl cover they are cheep and can be used with nicer covers too, or used as dubblers at night time. walmart caries them in packs 12 for $11. plan on using 10 or so a day.

Yeah it was orange stuff and it didn't last 5 minutes! And it was ICE COLD! She told me to GULP it! If I can take it a lil bit slower, then maybe it would have stayed down a bit better but nope, she said have to do it fast.

How nasty are cloth diapers when the baby is sick? I reading lots on them but nobody says anything about that. Do you just take them outside hose them off and toss in the wash with bleach or what? How do you keep your washer from getting gross?

when the babies poo rinses very esily in the toilet or a luandry sink, most of the time if it is just very liquidy or not very much of it in the diaper you can just thro it in the wash, use vinagar in the wash to keep out stains, if they are hevily soild just soak in warm water with some vinagar befor wahing. you cant use beach or it will break down the diapers absorbancy and they wont work well. just hang out on a close line in the sun , the sun will also bleach out any stains.
