I can't believe what just happened.

People are just strange. We decided to get rid of our chickens and use their housing for turkeys. They haven't been laying for about 3 months now. At any rate it's just a decision we made. 12 people responded to the add. We went through 4 people that set up times to come get them. Nobody showed till the 5th person. he had lost his flock to a coon. He was real happy to get mature layers to start again.

People are really annoying sometimes. All you can do is try to do the right thing yourself. There's plenty of roos out there. You'll get a good one. Besides at 6 months you don't really know what they're going to be like. Big change in hormones over the next few months.

I had a man named Clifford leave me in a Burger King parking lot for an hour with 40 quail chicks. When he drove by and waved while on the phone telling me he had somewhere to be and he couldn't stop to pick them even though he went through the drive through to get a burger. I still dislike Clifford.

Good news is that Coronation is a variety of Sussex. Those are pure birds. Probably coronation split (meaning they carry the lav gene but show as a normal Light Sussex would). I'd be all over those. Sussex are a great breed.

Oh, well we took a visit to Mrs. Olvera and surely enough we took a roo home. He is beautiful.
I'm trying to think of a name for him. Something that means strength and beauty. My dad said Zeus or Apollo but I don't think they fit him. My dad also suggested Thor but I don't think beauty has anything to do with Thor. Something original too.
