I cant belive I am so lucky!

I actually ordered 5 BO roos and 5 BJG roos with my last order since none of my chicks turned out to be roos! Out of 80 chicks, I didnt get ONE roo!!!! So I had to order them. They are 4 weeks old and i decided to take them out of the brooder and try and sex them....

My BO's....roo, roo, roo, pullet, pullet!

My BJG's...roo, roo, pullet, pullet, pullet!!!!!

Straight run cochins-roo, roo, pullet, pullet, pullet!!!!!!!

Now, how did this happen????? Figures-when we want hens, we get roos...we want roos, we get hens!

It must be a good year for me! I am not complaining!!!!!!!

That beats my luck! I bought 10 straight run from TSC. Everything I read after that said to expect all roos. Not a single roo and they are 6 weeks old! Not even a pink comb yet!!

I then bought 10 more at a local farm store and they were sexed as pullets. One SLW is showing a red comb and little bitty red wattles at 5 weeks! I just saw it tonight and since the other SLW is still yellow, I hope to have a pair!!

Someone on here has offered me an EE roo if one hatches and I couldn't be happier!!! Her chicks might be frizzled as well! Woohoo!!!
