I cant find customers!

YEA BUDDY !!!!!!!! OMG!!!! I LOVE IT !!!! WOW!!! I would say that it was well worth the ban!!! :lau

Looking good! :thumbsup ;)

I'm soooooooo jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hit

Thanks! It was a ton of work and I am proud of it - I do however judge other peoples fencing everywhere I drive... :p    but don't ask me to help - not gonna do it!

I want a fence like that! If I can recycle enough material, I would have it built but I know that ain't happening. :gig

My horses would love to rub their butts on that! Nice fence!

I've scratched my own back on it a few times! It's high tensile so built to stretch and not break. 10 year warranty! It should last much longer anywhere from 25-40 years.

I knew how big a project it was going to be so I decided by the time it needs repair i'll have free labor for that (kids!)

Find a local feed mill and by local I mean within 1-2 hours drive. I save $4-5 / 50lb bag ($18-20ish a bag in stores local, $14-15ish a bag from the mill) and buy large enough quantities to make the trip worth it. With 30+ turkeys to feed this really adds up to some significant savings.
I never buy more than a months supply of feed at a time, because it goes stale or can get mold or bugs in it if kept too long and turkeys should never be fed anything with any mold and the feed looses nutrition when it gets stale. I have a 8x12 storage shed for feed, but I am feeding several different feeds.

This is how I recycle! :)

You're good!

Oh no. I only do the foot work. I hustle to find the free materials. I have someone who loves to build. All I do is tell him what I want and he has a vision and he gets to work. The best part of this is finding the materials. It gets my adrenaline going. :p

Nice looking storage shed. You could get a solar light for it for about $20 at Harbor Freight Tools to replace the kerosene light, to make it a little safer. It sure looks like it could hold a lot more feed. What breed rabbits do you raise?

Thanks for the tip on the solar light. I'll see if I can get one for free somewhere or cheaper than $20.00. :)

I breed Flemish Giant, New Zealand, Californian and Dutch.

I sold most of my turkeys with my CSA package: rangers, eggs and the turkey. It was easy, I offered 10 shares and they filled up fast. My other suggestion is if this is a more permenant venture to post on localharvest, I've had good luck with it!

You could try creating a free listing on the Local Harvest website www.localharvest.org/

It is a site that several local "foodies" use. I advertised my chicken and duck eggs on there one time and had to take down the listing I got so many responses. I picked up a couple high volume customers who buy ALL my eggs (over 70 dozen a month) and no longer have any spare ones to sell.

Anyway, it has a search feature that searches by state and zip. Their may be other sites of its kind as well. Also, if you have a local farmers market, you could hand out flyers or rent a table and bring a pen with a live turkey in it along with some photos of processed birds.

Good luck!
