I can't imagine living in the North....

OT - One day DH and I stopped at our local stop and rob to buy a coke. There was a half-starved, (obviously) mama dog hanging around outside. Inside the store I used the all the change I had in my pocket to buy her a couple of hot dogs.
As I fed them to her, my DH shook his head and said, you can't save them all you know. My response was, no I can't. But there's one dog that's not going to sleep hungry tonight. Sometimes that has to be enough.

I don't feel the need to defend where I live. I LOVE it!!! Visit, don't visit, like it or don't. I DON'T CARE! I do have empathy for the people who struggle with winter weather that I do not. That's all I was trying to say. I HATE snow, I LOVE the really warm weather since I was raised in Florida, humidity doesn't bother me (I have straight blonde hair) I would love to have had curly black hair

Its been really cold here for a week now, its 9:20 pm here and -1' with out wind chill, this has been the norm lately. Pic is of what we had to shovel out of last week. We did not get the blade on the old 4w drive soon enough so had to do the drive by shovel, 100 feet from garage to the road. Drift was about 4 foot deep and across the entire drive. I have to climb over this on my way to the barn 4-5 times a day to take out fresh water for every one. Our DDs thought they would rather have school then shovel this again!!

No, really, it's okay. I cannot abide by the humidity and sweatiness and the bugs! Do not get me started on the bugs!!!!

I moved North 20 years ago and will not go south in the summer. No way. So, I propose a truce of sorts. Feel sorry for me & I'll feel sorry for you.
