Sorry about your roo.

He hasn't crowed?

That may or may not be a boy, especially if it has not crowed yet. What is important, especially if your are going to need to rehome the bird, is to correctly identify the breed. That bird is NOT a BA. Blue Andalusian have a different body shape, a large single comb, obvious white earlobes and lovely long tails. Here is a link to a posting of a BA offered for sale a while back, https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=230265 of a 13 wk BA cockerel. Sorry if I sound cranky, but I mentioned that this bird looked like a Jersey Giant when you post asking about gender a couple weeks ago. I could be wrong about it being a JG, but it is not a BA, your chicken has red earlobes.

http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGD/BJG/BJGPul.JPEG that should be a link for picture of a JG pullet. Look at her, and then look at the Cockerels in the pictures. Don't assume you have a boy until s/he crows. The hens are not dainty and have long saddle feathers that are rounded, but not as long as roosters where they hang down the side.

Again I don't mean to offend but I hear your frustration about the error in gender. Hopefully this helps, at least a little. I have read in several post that owners had determined they had roos, that later laid eggs. Don't be in a hurry to dispose of the chicken - for what it is worth I am not convinced it is a boy, I would have to hear and see it crow before I rehome or harvest it.

Remember what I said about my knowledge of chicken sexing?! It's true! Anything I have learned has been in the last 3 months of owning my 5 little chickies.

My chicken is an Australorp - or perhaps a JG, but am clear that she must be one of the two breeds. I wish I could wait for her to crow or lay an egg. Unfortunately I can only keep 4 birds, none of which can be a rooster, I need to figure it out sooner rather than later. Plus, we are all getting awfully attached to these little buggers and it is getting increasingly difficult to face their grim future the longer we feed, care and love on them.

There is just nothing very clear to me about this darn ol chicken. And I am frustrated that there is not a clear and simple way to make this determination.

So...for an Australorp/Jersery Giant of about 14-16 weeks there is nobody who has an inkling that we could still be talking pullet here?

I would be afraid to say definitely anything at this point. I had some Langshans that I swore were roosters at that age so I sold them, keeping the ones I thought were pullets. They all had the pointy-ish hangy-down feathers where the saddle feathers will come in, and I kept the ones with the shortest roundest feathers. Well, as the Langshans are a slow to mature breed, as I believe the Giants are, I ended up keeping all the roos, and person I sold the "cockerels" to got all the hens!!!! I learned my lesson and will keep them till they lay an egg or crow!! Of course, I have no limit to the number of chickens I can own, so if you must choose now I would opt for the definite girls.

My Austrolorp rooster did not crow until he was at least 5 months old. I still say rooster based on the saddle feathers growing in and the length of the tail feathers and how high up they are held. ( does that make sense?) Jersey Giants have yellow on the bottom of their feet.

Looks like I got confused

The BA that I have had are Blue Andalusians. I wish I could add more, but not knowing your breed, I must step aside and shut up. I hope you can find some way to make your decision on who to keep and who goes.
