I have 3 other hens that have distinctive single combs. These are the ones I cannot figure out.

Can anyone tell from the photos?

i have read that some people can tell comb types in chicks? Hopefully these picture are good enough for someone to see the comb type.

Thanks for the input!

If my so called Ameraucana has a cushion comb then will it lay brown eggs?

Could the other ones be blue egg layers?

It's all fairly confusing.....

Quote:
Egg color genes are independent of comb genes as far as I know. So it just depends on what egg color genes the parents of the birds were carrying; no reason a cushion-combed bird *couldn't* lay a blue or green egg.

Your "Ameraucana" could lay brown blue or green eggs. The others could lay any color eggs depending on their parentage, do you have any other birds with peacombs?

Well, I guess I'll be the first to chime in and say - No Ameraucanas in there.

The first Easter Egger has a pea comb.

The black Easter Eggers also have pea combs.
