I think the cranberries are because they help keep bad bacteria from overly clinging in there into the system? I'm a little sleepy, too. (Had to giggle at the just woke up comment).

I must say - wow. I'm still reading to catch up, can't wait to hear what happens next - and yes, details please.

BAD NEWS FOLKS

At 0530 this morning, our Buffy passed on. I think if I had done the surgery earlier she would have had the reserves to make it. Believe me when I tell you she was nothing but skin and bones, and eggs.

She passed away in my arms, wrapped in a big towel. There is a bush I've been meaning to plant that I'll be putting her under in the side yard.

As far as the surgery that I'm sure none of you ever want to perform- after the incision it's a matter of tying off the top and bottom of the oviduct with fishing line, cut it free, rinse the cavity with saline, and stitch her back up. It went amazingly well, but she really was too skinny and frail by the time I got up the nerve.

I am still glad I did this, I know I tried everything. My only regret was not doing it sooner.

Thank you all for taking this ride with me, and yes, I intend to take a long, hot, bubble bath later(supplemented with tears, of course).

Very sorry for you and your family. You seem to have done everything you could. She was well cared for, always remember that!

Awww, after all of that. Well at least you know that you've done everything you possibly could have known to do. Don't allow yourself to do what I call The If If If Game. (See I do that to myself... "If I had..., or If only I had...").

You did EVERYTHING you knew to do, and more than most, and more than enough, and it just wasn't meant to be. Bless you for trying so hard!

I hear that tears in the bathwater, if there are enough, are like bath salts. /sigh I've had a couple over lost babies. Try to add something to your bath salts like maybe a little aromatherapy - lavendar, or add chamomile to your bath before you get in so it simply swirls around you and relaxes you.

Then try to imagine a big hug today, too. From me.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
