Oh that is SO hilarious! That sounds like my DH who claims to have been keeping chickens most of his adult life....

I have a brooder full of teenagers and a couple of them are polish mixes. They're getting little mohawks that are so adorable but not filling out the entire head like a polish pure would do. So I'm showing my DH one of my little polish mixes because it's mohawk is really starting to get up there and my DH says "oh yeah that's a little rooster".

I say what? Why do you think it might be a rooster? He says well look at that thing on top of it's head!

He wanted to know the other day why is it that we have so many chickens and he can't eat any of their eggs!!?? LOL I told him I had hatch-an-egg fever and it would go away soon.

As a matter-of-fact yes, he is blonde..LOL

Now that I can see the humor, I'm can admit I was shocked that he thought that. He is quite intelligent and to me the egg issue is a no brainer.

At least he knows now and won't be tossing them in the woods anymore, and to make up for tossing eggs he is ready to buy more to fill up my bator when what's in there hatches.

So I win both ways, I get to keep my eating eggs and get more eggs to hatch.
