I couldn't resist! Royal Palm Turkeys.

Went to give them fresh water. The smallest one was hissing at me and lowered it's wing! D:

I grabbed the little butthead and held her for a little bit. I offered a live cricket and they don't know what it is. But the other was calling for her and wasn't happy.
That sounds more like a goose.

I haven't heard any noise like that from my guys. I just hear purrs, and trills, chirps, and Yolk yolk. I'm looking forward to them gobbling

I know right.

They have done the putt putt, and the yelping. But the hiss is really low, nothing like a goose.

I can not find a video like the sound, but I searched the forums. And it seems pretty common with young turkeys anytime and older turkeys at night.

My turkey Dot is sitting on eggs right now...she definitely knows how to hiss!!! Freebie has never hissed at me...she peeps for me, but I've go her as a small fuzzy poult. Strut has never hissed and he only pecked at m once when I was messing with his head.

I looked up the babies of the different turkey species. I could have gotten some Bourbon Reds I thought they were Buff Turkeys. DANG! Oh well, I love these. And they have figured out where the food comes from. xD
