That sounds delicious! I'll have to look up a dumplin recipe and do that in the oven. I don't currently have a crockpot, but depending on how many wayward cockerels I have to deal with, it might be a good investment.I often put mine in the crockpot with some chicken broth, an onion, some carrots and celery and cook until the meat is falling off the bones. Let cool, remove meat from bones, remove veges, make dumplings, put meat back in, serve hot.
