" I DID IT " my first batch 6 so far

This is the first chicks I have tried to hatch. And I did it !!!!!!!!
My hubby got me a bator for Valentines day. And we put 16 eggs in. I had one little one yesterday before work and several that had pipped when I got home. At midnight I had another to hatch and this morning when I got up I had 4 more. And several more pipped eggs !!!!
Cant wait to get home today !!!!

I want to say thank you to everyone that has posted their hatching stories. you have really helped me to make it through this looonngg wait. I have read on BYC everyday and have learned so much..

Congrats! I had my first hatching last year of guineas and swore I'd never do it again after I lost one after the first night. But of course yesterday I took delivery of 24 silkie eggs. Must be like child birth - you swear you'd never do it again but then what happens.........

*** UPDATE ***

Had 6 more to harch yesterday. 1 died

but the rest are Ok still have 4 more eggs 2 had pipped this am and 2 still with nothing.

I think I did ok started with 16 eggs at tihis point I have 11 alive and chirping and 2 pipped.
