Yah with all my animals, I buy it by the case, lol... and pretty much have a roll of it with me everywhere I go (in the barn, in my truck, in my saddle bags, in my purse, in the bathroom, etc, lol). You never know when you have to wrap up a booboo... works good on humans too!

wow, I will get the vet wrap. I just had medical tape which i had to cut and trim. I will keep it in many places also as my little man gets boo boo's at the park, ect.
By the way just to let you know.. my bator is going to be sterilize today... and put away... I hatched 19 of those eggs out. thought I had 20, had 21. 1 died before hatching the other wasnt formed all the way. Yes i am a learner. So i open all the dead eggs to see what the stage and issue might be.. trying to get a pic of the 19 but my phone is being difficult on sending today.. HAVE A great weekend gals...

Whew, good, you're totally on top of it. Good luck, hope he heals and is fine. Hopefully it's not a rotated femur and he just slipped and stretched that joint socket out and it will heal. Sometimes towards the end of the hatching season I see a few more cases of splayed legs (or genetic issues) than I normally see in my earlier hatches. I think it has something to do with temps and their effects on sperm quality/egg quality, haven't proven it tho... seems to be the norm for my flocks anyway, no matter the bloodline.

With it being so late and the rain and temps being against them, that may very well be the case. I have another pied missing and she and the crew have been hovering around the north end of the pond by some weeds. I am determined not to lose a hen so I will be searching today. Those eggs will not be hatched.. sorry but this gal is done for the year.. I just hope I find her. yesterday was the first day she was gone all day........
he.gif
gonna log off here and go searching so I can bring my girl back to the crew.... Thanks again....... heres hoping for my little one!!!!

I open the eggs too, some I don't have to, some reasons are obvious... but yah, I'm still learning as I go too. COngrats on that hatch rate tho, major successful save!
Good for you to have put your bator away:)

You have a good weekend too... I'm going to Tractor Supply and Lowes in a few to spend a fortune on some winter Guinea necessities (and feed) and some fencing supplies to keep my goats out of my front yard and away from my garden so I can turn them out into the lower horse pasture to eat brush down there... oh boyyyy, projects projects!

LOL good luck on that whole goat thing.... Mine have been remodeling my house.... They "fixed" the slider then trashed my bed room..... Yep.... caretaker didnt notice the goats had been living in my bed room for abou two weeks. Till they knocked over the circulating fan and it turned on..... making a hell of a noise. then there is the time the plumber worked under the house and left the crawl space unlatched..... Telephone wiring is yummy Mommmmmm.....

LOL Oh man, in your bedroom, and phone wiring, lol. Goats are such BRATS, I swear, lol.
I'm sure mine would get into anything and everything they could too, if they could... but luckily they are very respectful of the fence and stay where they should stay (so far), lol. They will most definitely love another 6 acres to browse tho. Going to start on that tomorrow since the weather has cooled down some, finally!
