I noticed that splatter and thought the same thing. And where’s the rest of the eggshell?Are you absolutely positive somebody didnt try helping it hatch thinking it was stuck and drying out? Kids maybe? That is pretty aggressive looking, and blood was clearly dropped from above. Either way, the chick was no where near ready to come out. Ive never heard of one hatching that prematurely on its own. I dont see any chance of it surviving unfortunately
Hatching is a learning experience, and there are sad moments.
in re the humidity, do you have a digital gauge? The best thing for the rest of the eggs in there and for future hatches is to put one in there, they’re under $10 on Amazon and check those water wells a couple times a day.
