i dont have an iphone..

I have an iPhone and I love it.

I also have an iPad and keep my chicken journal on it. I can sit outside near my run with either and check on BYC, write, design my next quilt, whatever. I LOVE reading books on my iPad.

I can take quick photos of the chicks with my iPhone. I also like the GPS, texting, and other apps that I use.

Its a matter of choice. I dont see how people can live without at least a cell phone. They can be life savers. My kids use them and they no longer have an excuse not to at least text me to tell me where they will be.

My DH could not use the blackberry because the buttons are too small. It also wasn't logical. The iPhone is VERY intuitive. So once he got one the entire family got them over the next year. I have three in college and they NEED them.

So yes, in general you dont need them, but I bet, once you try, you will be hooked.. mmwaahhhhahah

we dont have cable tv either..we do have a large collection of old horror and action movies on our xbox, and thats about it. and lots of books.
i do like the internet though...i would be bored to death without it.

I live in the sticks, and the only way I could get reception here is if I sat on the roof. Maybe. So no cell phone for me!

My husband has a cell phone because his job pays for it.

I love mine.

What I love even better is that we bought them recently. We found out that AT&T is letting people who bought them after May 7 upgrade to the brand-new iPhone right away instead of waiting two years for new phones like usual. We are going tonight to sign up for the new ones.

BINGO! We do have a landline...................................................and it's unplugged more often than not.

Internet is only because I have an online store.

We went the first 20 years of our marriage without TV. We lived in England for a year and refused to pay the postal tax, so no TV. It was wonderful. We did the same, collected movies we enjoy watching etc. Finally broke down and got cable when youngest son became a Patriots fan. After two years of spending every Sunday at a friend's house we decided we needed to do something.

Agreed about the internet. Drove the cable company crazy. What? You have internet but no cable TV? How can you do that??? Easy.

But I do love my iPhone!

i am always getting sales calls from the cable company...i would love cable, to be honest, but i cant pay 60 bucks a month just for even basic cable. we tried it years ago and it ended up costing us almost 200 a month just for cable and internet.

In
case you want to look at what an iphone is and can do. It's a phone, but it's also like a little computer. You touch the screen with your fingertip, instead of using a keyboard. There are lots of apps (applications) that have been written for them. These are different little software programs that do all kinds of things. You can check your e-mail or browse the internet with it. You can also take pictures and videos with it.

I don't have one, nor do I really care to. I'm sure they're wonderful, but expensive junk like that has no business on a farm lol. I'd just drop it in a stock tank or in a pile of... Well, you get the picture.
