I'm sorry for your losses.

You mentioned in your first post that you just started raising chickens in the spring and later shared that your birds are between 18-20 weeks old and 2.5 years old; where did the older birds come from and how/when were they quarantined/integrated?

They came from a large farm where they were looking to get out of chickens. They weren’t quarantined but I had already lost some of my young ones before I got them.

Reading some of your older posts i see you have aquired and adopted adult chickens from local sources. Were they verified diesese free before mingling them with your flock?

The laying hens I bought from an established farm that was getting out of chicken raising. The 3 chickens I have gotten from iffy sources were separated to begin with but where the others could see them.

Also you say the chickens have a large run on a separate property. Has this property previously been used in such a way in the past that could have deposited something deadly in the soil?
I see it looks wooded, some things are toxic to chickens, namely oak leaves and acorns. There are more plants. Just search tixic plants to chickens and see the big list.
Im not sure what csv is but i think untill you know for sure what you are dealing with fresh water would be best.

It was vacant land when we bought it. We cut down all the trees that have been downed. It was completely wooded. There are a few oak trees but not too many leaves make it into their enclosure because of the wire and mesh all around. I don’t think there have been any acorns in there. The csv you asked about was probably my phones way of correcting acv which is apple cider vinegar.

I agree with @ChickenCanoe the very best way to find out the cause of your loss would be to have some testing asap. Even if you don't have a body to send in at the moment, at least collect several stool samples and send those to your closest lab.

Since the symptoms you describe are so vague, any suggestions given would only be speculation on our part.
Some things to look at while you wait on testing, would be your water source (how often do you give fresh water/clean containers)-is the well capped properly - any rain water getting into that, look to see if any feed has spilled and there is mold (how is feed stored), look for anything dead that a couple of chickens may have eaten.

I hope you can find some answers soon. It's not time to give up.

Hi there. Im sorry for your loss but dont give up. It may be worthwhile to get the ground and dirt tested after it rains. Maybe something might be leaching up from the soil like some sort of toxic substance. I live on the east coast of Australia and this happened where i used to live. Turns out chickens were dying and other farm animals were born deformed. It was all because of a toxic waste dump. The authorities of course denied it but the proof was there. We have since moved. Check with other people in your area?

Sounds like you may have Mycoplasma ... i have seen them eat and drink fine then die within a few hours . Pick them up one by one and see if they rattle when they breathe . If so get tylan 200 ... 1cc under chest skin for 3 days usually fixes it if you catch it in time make sure no foamy eyes . Probably brought it in with the crew from the farm

No one has foamy eyes and I can’t hear anyone rattling but that doesn’t mean they aren’t.

That may be a possibility but I don't think the OP mentioned a respiratory problem or any symptoms at all other than sudden death.
I certainly wouldn't proactively start dosing an antibiotic without definitive results of lab diagnosis and cultures. Guessing is how problems are prolonged and overuse of antibiotics happen. That leads to resistant bacteria and superbugs. Best approach is to determine what is actually causing sudden deaths.
