I went through the very same thing last year. We had 300 chickens and they were WORK, but they were my business. So when my dd started kindergarten I figured it was a good time to get out of the chicken business. I haven't missed a minute if it (except the money lol). Here's hoping you will have a change of heart, but if you don't don't feel bad.

Are you pregnant? That was the only time I didn't want my chickens when I was early on in pregnancy had morning sickness and couldn't stand the smell of the chickens.

Hope it passes or you find someone to sell them to. Sorry, hope you will find the love for them again.

I have been on disabled the past year and a half. When I started raising chickens I was in much better shape as my disabilities are getting worse. I have reduced the amount of work by auto-waterers and large feeders that I don't have to fill up everyday. I use the deep cleaning method with shavings and DE. But my favorite part of the day is feeding the treats in the evening. I have a stoop in the run and just watch chicken TV. Try to remember why you got them in the first place and if you are overwhelmed get someone to give you a hand. You just might need a break for awhile. Good luck sending you

You might try the rehoming thread or your state thread. This one dated 2011. What breed are they? All hens? Just curious, sorry I can't help much I'm in Mi.
Good luck....

I don't want to seem cold or uncaring but I don't get too involved with the day to day goings on of my birds. Food, water, a clean coop and their general well being. That's it. No more care than our pup, except I love my pup.
