I don't want to get rid of my rooster!

My experience: I'm a new chicken owner too, My Rooster is almost 1 year old, in another month. He used to be very aggressive towards me and everyone. Now he cuddles me and lets me pick him up. I think if you can tame him enough he'll get better. The first step would be to show you are the boss. Mine wasn't aggressive with his hens but he doesn't let them out of his sight now so keep trying. If you really want to keep him tame him an if not either find a new home.

Yup I get it, My GSD, lab mix is the same way, he would die for me. It is funny there is days he is like catching racoon, and standing back so they can be shot, and awesome recall...then he rolls in cat poo and I start questioning is brain power.

I would like to say I agree, but I can't. Mine rolled in a dead, squished, fly covered toad this summer.
