Sorry if this has already been asked, but...which part of the egg did you inject the dye into? The "white" part of the egg? And what did you make your hole with? Did you seal it when you were done?

This is very exciting. I have a hen who is sitting on eggs, and i checked an hour ago and two are starting to pip, its very exciting. I've seen the colored chicks before, they are extremely neat, they sell white leghorns dyed easter colors at easter time around here at a few feed stores. My friend tried the dye at home idea last year though, and her chicks were light and buff brahma's, and the chicks were so ADORABLE when they hatched out and dried off.
