I fed my chicken raw green beans without researching that it's bad for them.

Would he still be alright? I just found out that lectin is bad for them. I fed him raw green beans but only 1/4 of the whole green bean. I know I'm overreacting but I hope someone will tell me that he's going to be alright.

He'll be perfectly fine. It isn't enough to harm him. Mistakes happen and sometimes you feed them something you aren't supposed to.

It's the dose that makes the poison.

If a chicken were to consume too much water too quickly, it would die. As it happens, chickens are wired not to over-consume water.

So while I wouldn't encourage offering chickens known problematic foodstuffs, I would remind that a chicken's brain is often better informed than a human's brain. At least when it comes to knowing how much to consume of what.
