Can chicken embryos hear?? I set 6 eggs in 10 days ago, three were duds.

I candled today to check progress, 3 remaining are doing well so far but I noticed if I make noise they move more and was wondering if I imagined it. Fingers crossed that they all hatch.

Not at all a dumb question! I believe they can. I've read that as chicks hatch and start peeping, the remaining eggs in the nest or incubator are stimulated to follow suit! Best one to ask on this is @Isaac 0!

I know! We totally screwed up and didn't record anything..soon as these guys are old enough to give me some more eggs though I'll do it again! We were too focused on helping the kids learn to incubate eggs that we kind of spaced documenting anything which we super regret
