I wasn't sure of what forum but this one seemed closest for the question...

I'm talking mating. I know the rooster grabs the hens neck and mounts... but how does he deposit the sperm? He has no penis so... is it just finding the right spot and lining things up or does he have something come out to deposit or what? It just seems so... difficult.

Anyone want to enlighten me?

They do have the male parts wether people believe it or not lol. Most people say they just "touch" their vents together and voila though.. Thats the short version without going into.. Much detail.

so there's actually more to it than touching the vents together and maybe squirting or something? I seriously want to know. I'm curious about it. lol

The male releases sperm from his vent into the vent of the female. The female actually opens her vent so the sperm will be deposited into her vent. The females vent then closes around and traps the sperm. Like unrolling a sock that is turned inside out.

Isnt it called the 'cloacal kiss' or something like that? Waterfowl have penis's that they mate with and some look brutal like the south american lake black duck, its something like 17" long. But roosters dont, I have butchered many many roosters and only found testicles.
