I feel so bad for them

My girlies are always on lockdown. I wish they could just roam the backyard free all day long. But my dog would kill them (he actually already got one) and we have a hawk problem.

They have to stay in their coop/run all day. At least it has a run for them.

I am in the same boat right now. I have had free range birds for 11 years but now we're feeding an eagle family. Its sad..

Maybe you could just let them out for a little bit each day, like an hour before dark, when you can watch them, and the dogs are in the house.......
