I found a way around my leg shuffling rooster......................

I did it only a few times and he did not hang up side down for more than a few seconds. I put a leg cord on him for two days in the am and pet him often through the day, then I let him loose in the after noon. I don't have a problem with my rooster anymore.

Please don't again. I'm glad nothing bad came of it and he's OK now, but as we've all said, not a good idea

Would you be okay doing this to a dog or other animal? You Probably wouldn’t. So why is it okay to do it to a chicken?

I found that a leg cord is a good tool to have around. It makes it easier to pick them up and make them familiar with us.
