Just thought I’d share some pics. I have some of the snowie second gens getting ready to go outside. Due to our snow, the lady who is buying my last year adults hasn’t picked them up yet, so I’ve kept these inside because I’m afraid they’ll throw their bands off and blend in with the original ones that don’t carry celadon. In the group pic, the known male is Prince, the lightest gray one. The pics dont give an accurate image of how prince is smaller than the rest (not the egyptian, she’s a runt with sparse feathering, but he was crowing, mating, smaller etc and the rest have chest spots.

The second lightest gray, to Prince’s left is the imposter. His face markings are a bit more masculine, but identical to the bird on Prince’s right, and I’ve seen her lay an egg as she’s 2 weeks older than the rest.

tbh I think the eye lines have very recently darkened, but at 7 weeks, no mating or foam and no crowing, combined with chest spots. Today I cleaned the cage and put him in the temp bin first, and he set off crowing his heart out! He took me by surprise.
