I found my first Mallard egg yesterday right inside the doorway of their pen. It was an dirty-army-green color. ha ha Almost round in shape.

Quote:Yup she is a Muscovy......the nicer of the 2 females I have.... It is just a tad bigger than a chicken egg. I only knew it was from the duck by its color.......do they get bigger as the duck matures like chickens eggs do?

I was so surrpized when the runners started to lay, not sure when or where the scoives will hide eggs. Last Jan was shocked to get duck eggs from my Pekin. Can't imagine them all hiding the eggs.
