Seriously, there were two eggs out of five that are HUGE. I only have two chickens that lay white eggs and I am trying to figure out if both laid an incredible large today or if one of them laid both. I collect eggs every day and before these were laid today. Also I cleaned out the nesting boxes today so I know for certain that both were laid today.

So which is more likely, both chickens each laid a torpedo today or did one chicken pull it off alone?

here is one of their normal sized eggs next to an extra large egg that my golden comet lays

now here is that same "normal" sized egg next to the two torpedoes

Not likely one bird laid both within... what 6-8 hours?
Both double yolkers?
How old are birds?

They were both laid with in a 3 hour period. Both leghorns are about 7 1/2 months old.

Not certain about the double yolks, I haven't cracked them open yet. But I'm guessing they are.
